The Huskies trailed by six with 15 minutes left but scored 10 straight, with a Pollard layup giving them their first lead of the night. They then pulled away down the stretch.

Bucknell then embarked on a 28-9 run to close to within a point, 59-58, with 19 seconds remaining after a 3-pointer by Chris Hass.

After two free throws from Papale made it a three-point game, Watson came up with a steal and fastbreak layup for a five-point cushion with seven seconds remaining. Hass then hit another trey, but Papale hit 1-of-2 from the line with 1.4 seconds left and BU’s defense denied Bucknell a final shot at the basket.
