Laurent Rivard hit 6-of-9 3-pointers and finished with 20 points to lead Harvard to an 80-50 rout of Penn on Saturday night at Lavietes Pavilion.

Harvard (17-3, 4-0 Ivy League) broke open a tight game midway through the first half when it ran off 12 straight points. The Crimson finished the period on a 27-4 run to take a 44-23 lead. Penn (4-13, 1-2) was unable to mount a threat in the second half.

Kyle Casey scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Harvard, which knocked off Princeton a night earlier and is the only remaining Ivy team without a loss in league play.

– In Philadelphia, Halil Kanacevic scored 18 points to lead St. Joseph’s to a 73-68 victory over No. 21 UMass.

Derrick Gordon scored 21 points for the Minutemen (17-4, 4-3 Atlantic-10), who rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit and tied the game on a Chaz Williams 3-pointer with 1:23 remaining. That capped a 14-1 run for UMass, which shot 59 percent in the second period.

After the teams traded free throws, Chris Wilson put St. Joe’s (15-6, 5-2) up with two from the line with 30 seconds remaining. On UMass’ ensuing possession, Gordon drove the baseline and turned over the ball. The Hawks then closed out the game with three free throws in the final 12 seconds.

Williams amassed 16 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and three steals for the Minutemen, who have lost three of their last four games.
