Julian Jacobs led a balanced USC attack with 16 points as the Trojans turned away Boston College, 78-62, Sunday night in Los Angeles.
Ryan Anderson led BC with 13 points, while Kyle Caudill netted 11 and Joe Rahon contributed 11 points and nine assists. Olivier Hanlan, averaging a team-leading 20.9 points per game coming in, did not start for the first time this season and finished with just six points.
The Eagles (3-6) led by as much as seven points in the first half, but the teams went into the break tied at 32. BC never led in the second half.
USC (6-3) owned a 44-27 advantage in rebounds and outscored BC in the paint 38-22.
The Eagles next host Maryland on Thursday night in their ACC opener.
